What an experiment! In this program, 3 Welsh teenagers travel to South Korea in order to experience school life in Gangnam (literally means “South of the River”) where they will find one of the toughest educational systems. How will they cope with the exchange?
Roughly we could translate the name of the show as Madness in the pastry shop although it is probably not the kind of madness one expects from the average baking reality (that we’ve been bombarded with lately). In my opinion, this creative madness gets closer to the genius type of madness and this is only one of the reasons why I have decided to share this tv show in here.

After the most French video EVER I would like to share what has been the highlight of the day in my opinion.
It is not even summer yet and I think we can officially declare “Despacito“ by Luis Fonsi ft. Daddy Yankee as THE song of the summer of 2017. Unless you’ve been isolated in a remote location you must be familiar with this song:
It’s been played on radio stations all over the world several times a day and then, back in April Justin Bieber made it even more viral if possible by releasing his own version (even though he is not quite familiar with the lyrics still).
When I was a teaching assistant, one of the most popular questions I got asked was: “Do you actually talk to the students in Spanish ALL THE TIME?”
This ‘Spanish only’ approach is actually quite old*. A great example that illustrates how old this matter is is the following sketch from SNL. *Eddie Murphy old.
There is a thin line between helping the students and making them feel stupid (big mistake) or disengaged. So where is the key for me? It is not that simple.
