Cholitas are Bolivian women of indigenous heritage known for their colourful outfits, round hats, and ornate earrings. In the highest capital in the world, La Paz, Bolivia, 11 Cholitas have the mission to defeat sexism and discriminatory attitudes and climb mountains in their traditional clothing.
Yesterday, I read in the papers that the first Spanish female judge in the European Court of Human Rights was chosen by The Council of Europe Parliamentary Assembly. Hurray? Well… get ready!

I was just writing on this day to recommend a super lovely book (2 volumes actually) that celebrates extraordinary women (Layers, musicians, writers, astronauts, journalist… even a volcanologist!) that although history did not grant them the tag of ‘superstar’ (to most of them) they deserve it so very much.
